Going on Vacation
My husband and I are taking a trip to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. We are going to Myrtle Beach, SC. So far, the weather is not looking too promising out there, but at least we getting away for a few days. This will be the first time leaving our kids for longer than longer than overnight, so I am starting to get pretty nervous about it. I'm sure it will be fine though. Anyway, I won't be posting anything until next week.

Here's a couple more
This first card is one I made for a couple of our teenage family members for Christmas. It is one of my most favorite cards I have ever made. It's really quite pretty in real life. I used Cool Caribbean (loved this color!!!) Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink CS and ink. I stamped Lace Snowflakes on the main panel on WW and then covered the whole image with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I also stamped the sentiment, which is from Warm Words in versamark. Then I tied on some white organdy ribbon to top it off. Like I said, one of my favorites ever!!!!!
This is a card I made for a friend's party. I used Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke CS and ink. I colored the images with my markers. I also roughed up the edges of the main panel, which is on Very Vanilla CS. Simple, but still pretty I think.
Thanks so much for looking!

A couple more older cards
The first card is one I made for a friend's card party. I used Real Red, Garden Green and Whisper White with the Sidekick Sayings Set. You can't see it very well, but I also used the Christmas Chatter wheel on the background. I used my markers for the ornaments. The next cards are just a couple cute 3x3s. Real Red, Garden Green, Certainly Celery and Whisper White card stock. Real Red, Garden Green and Yoyo Yellow markers to color in the Perfect Presentation stamp set. I also threw in some white grosgrain, and you cannot see it, but I used my beloved glitter pen on them as well. They are very simple, but I still think they are pretty cute. Thanks for looking!

Easter
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Ours was great. My mom came and stayed with us on Saturday. We went shopping all day. I can't remember the last time I got to go shopping with anyone without at least one of my kiddos coming along, so it was very nice to not have to rush around. Our church service was nice. The choir put on a cantata, which are always really good. Well, over the next few days I will be posting some of the cards and things I have made lately. I hope someone enjoys them!
Bye for now.

This year's Easter cards
Sorry the pictures are so terrible! I still have some things to work out. The chick card is the one I made for my in-laws, and the egg cards are the ones I am using for my kid's Easter baskets. I used the new set A Good Egg for both. The chick card used Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, So Saffron and Certainly Celery paper and some chunky glitter I think I got at Wal-Mart and Fun Flock which I just got! The 3x3 cards used Groovy Guava and Soft Sky paper, and I colored them in with Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, So Saffron and Mellow Moss with my blender pens. I also used my Gelly Roll glitter pen, which I absolutely love. Thank you for looking!!
Okay, This is it!
I have finally taken the leap! After months and months of admiring other people's beautiful blogs and gaining so much inspiration from them, I have decided to start a blog of my own. This is really sort of scary!! I will be posting general musings about the world and some of my crafty creations. I hope to gain some creative feedback and constructive criticism in order to grow as a crafter. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
