So long

I have decided to stop this blog. I appreciate anyone who actually stopped by and looked at the things I have created. I just don't feel like this blog is inspiring anyone, as I don't get any response from people. Since this was the reason I started the blog in the first place, I feel it is needless to continue. I wanted to get some feedback from people on improving my creations, or I had hoped at least on some occasions, a compliment on something I had done well.

I am not trying to have a pity party for myself, or anything of that sort, I just don't want to continue putting time into this if it is not benefiting anyone. I don't want to be white noise in a cyberland of so many very talented people.

Thanks so much for anyone who has stopped by these past few months.

A non-stamping post

Well I thought maybe you might enjoy a couple of pictures from the fall festival of my baby boy in the Little Mister contest. The second picture is from a few minutes before he went on stage. He decided to lose the tie right before he went on. The last picture is of me leading the songs. I got roped into the job early the same morning.

Still here

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I haven't had much time to stamp anything, but I will be starting my Christmas cards soon. I know I will have to make a few to choose from for my hubby, so there will be plenty to look at.

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!!!!

I think it's cute...

This is a luminarie I thought of last night. This is the first thing I have created with the totally cute Top Notz die. I really like how it turned out. I just used plain brown lunch sacks, House of Haunts stamp set and basic black ink. Very simple and would be pretty quick to mass produce if you wanted to line your walk for Halloween. Would be very cute for Christmas too.

Sorry about the poor quality for the lit up picture, but I think you get the idea.

Thanks for looking!!

Fall Festival

Well, the fall festival was today. Kind of a so-so turn out, but I think people were hesitant to come out because the weather was a little unpredictable.

I sold 5 of 5 bookmarks, 3 of 4 framed greetings and had two more ordered, 6 of 9 journals with matching pens, and 4 of 53 cards.

I was disappointed, but I am curious to know what you guys think. How was this for a first time table in a relatively small community (population 1500) fair? Please leave me a comment so I can decide if I should give another go.

Thanks for stopping by!!! I will try to get some more pics of the cards I made when I resolve the camera issues I have been having.

I'm back..........

Sorry to be gone so long. Lots of stuff, not all good, going on lately. Anyway, on with some pics!! This is my new stamping room!!! Yay Me!! Our daughters decided that they are old enough to move downstairs away from us, so they took over their old playroom. This meant mommy got to take over their room and now I actually have a space of my own that is bigger than 5x5. I also have some of their toys in here, well mostly my little guys toys since he is home with me still. I wanted them to be able to hang out with me though while I am working on crafts. That is my "baby" (sniff, sniff) playing with his tater heads and play-doh. For some reason we cannot play with one without the other it seems.

This last pic is a peg shelf I decorated with some rub-ons for my new space. It is hanging on the wall behind my desk in the first photo. I hung some cute little polka-dot buckets I got at Target on it. They hold my pens, hand-held punches and the goodies I need the most.

Anyway, thanks for looking. I hope to upload some of the things I have been making very very soon, so keep coming back!!!

Sorry, I've been a bad blogger

So sorry I have not posted anything new in so long. I haven't been stamping much because I am moving all of my stuff into my new stamp room!! It has been quite the undertaking, but it will all be worth it when it is done.

Thanks for sticking with me!!

Raise your hand if you LOVE the new catalog!

Me, me, me! I do! I do!
Well, I just placed my first order, and let's just say Mr. Brown may need to see a chiropractor after delivering it! I had SO much on my wish list. I did have a very good excuse, I mean reason, for placing such a large order since I am doing the Fall Festival next month. Gotta have the latest stuff for everyone to see, right?!?!?

I have a couple of cards I have made for the festival. I will try to get them on here later today or tomorrow. School started today, for just a couple of hours, but tomorrow will be the first full day of school! My boy and I are very sad for the girls not to be with us all day now. : (

Thanks for stopping by!!

Ummm, my face is very red.

Ok, so I was just posting my cards, and looked up at the function bar like I have many times before, and low and behold there is a button there that says "Moderate Comments." Hmmmm, I wonder what that button is about, I say to myself. Yep. I have had a couple of comments left that I never knew I had because I didn't ever click this button before. Duh. So, to the two very nice ladies who had left a comment, Thank you. Really. Plus, I feel even dumber because one of the nice comments was about my problem on Splitcoast and how to resolve it. So, again, thank you very much. I will now click on that button when I post on here every time, so please please please leave comments for they will now be published on here!!!!!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

And another . . .

All figured out

So, I emailed Splitcoast about my disappearing uploads, and I got a response from BEATE!!!!!! How cool is that?!?!? I love her blog, so I was totally freaked when I read the email. Anyway, to pass on the tip she gave me, when you upload a picture you need to give it a VERY unique name because they do scans to get rid of duplicates. My uploads duplicated a name, so were thrown out in the scan. Now that I know this, I don't think I will have anymore disappearing acts!

I have several new cards to share with everyone, and I hope to post them tomorrow. Right now, I am off to bed because we had a very long day at the Illinois State Fair today!!

Come back soon!

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

I am VERY frustrated with Splitcoast this week! Three times now, just this week alone, I have had cards that have been uploaded and appeared in my gallery suddenly disappear when I check back on them later. Why is this happening!?! Have I done something wrong? Has anyone else been having this problem?

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Splitcoast. They are a wonderful site. I am just upset that this keeps happening.

Well, any suggestions or comments would be GREATLY appreciated, and thanks for letting me vent a little!

Type atcha later!

Never too early to start playing with Christmas cards.

I absolutely love Christmas. The past few years I have made all of our Christmas cards, and I love doing it. However, this year I hope to get an earlier start on them. So today I started plying with ideas. The top two of them I REALLY like. The third one is hideous, and I am only showing it on here because it's almost funny how bad it turned out. It really was cute when I pictured it in my head, but it was lost in the execution.

The first card was so simple, but still very pretty, I think. I used the new set Heard from the Heart and the retiring set (boohoo) Peaceful Wishes. This is one of my all time favorite sets and I am so sad that it is going!! Anyway, I used Real Red for the sentiment and Sahara Sand for the mistletoe.

The second card used the new sneak peak hostess set Deer Friends. So cute!! I also used two new in colors, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss, and I used Barely Banana for the circle mat. I used my crystal effects to put dazzling diamond glitter on Santa's hat. It works really well, and I wish I could remember who's blog I saw that tip on!!! Kudos to you, whoever you are!!

The bad card used two new in colors as well, Pirouette Pink and Baja Breeze, as well as, Certainly Celery. The only thing I liked about this card is this color combo. They look really nice together. This set is called Snowfall, and it too is retiring.

Thanks so much for looking!!!

Oh, I didn't realize how pink the first card looked!! It is stamped on Whisper White, you just can't tell it in the photo!!

They don't seem to want these on Splitcoast, so....

I have uploaded these two cards twice on Splitcoast now, and twice they have not been there when I checked back. I guess I will just leave them here for you all!!

As usual, I apologize for my photography skill, or lack of it!!

The first card's colors are Real Red, Gable Green, Green Galore, Pixie Pink and Only Orange. I used my markers to color in the images from the stamp set Bitty Birthday.

On the second card I used Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery. I used Dazzling Diamonds on the scalloped circle. The sets used were Polka Dot and In the Stars. It is really quite a cute card in real life.

Thanks for stopping by and looking! Please leave me some comments!!!!

Paper lanterns

Hello everyone! I'm finally getting to upload some pictures for you. These are the paper lanterns I made for the 4th of July. I got lots of compliments on them, so that was a confidence boost I really needed. They were a lot easier than I thought they were going to be, and I think I completed them all within an hour or so. I just used some paper I had been hoarding for years now and finally decided to just use it. I am really bad about paper hoarding!!!

I got the instructions here.

So Sorry!

I have been a very bad blogger. I'm sorry. We are like everyone else around here and extremely busy this time of year. Some of the things we have been up to:

Softball with both of our girls. This was the first year on pitching machine for our oldest. We didn't win any games, but by the end of the season, the girls were really getting the hang of it. Our younger daughter's team is starting to not play in the dirt, as much. A huge accomplishment.

We just got back from camping for 4 days. We had a lot of fun, other than me taking the dog out to potty and getting lost for an hour and a half. I have absolutely no sense of direction.

My husband and I went to see Mama Mia at the Fox theater in St. Louis. I loved it. He put up with it.

I promise to upload some pictures in the next couple of days. I have actually stamped a couple of times, just not nearly as much as I have wanted. I can hardly wait to break into my new sneak peek stuff!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Finally had some stamping time

I finally got to do some stamping today. Mostly because I needed cards done for this weekend, but beggars can't be choosers, right? So, this one is for bridal shower at church. This set is called Big On Spring, and it is in the mini right now. I used WW, Rose Red, and Regal Rose cs. Same with markers as well as Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Taken With Teal. I used a blender pen to color in bride with Rose Red. The flower bunch is cut out and popped up for some umph.

This one is for my cousin's wife who is having a shower this weekend. The set I used is called Life's A Breeze, and I thought the little boat would be cute for a little boy card. I used WW, Soft Sky, So Saffron and Blue Bayou cs. I colored the boat with Bayou, Saffron and the tiny flag on top that you can't really see in the picture is Real Red. I figured I could use ribbon on a baby boy card, so I put on some Blue Bayou ribbon.

Thanks for looking!!!!

Not the best, but....

I was trying to come up with something to submit for one of the Stampin' Up contests. This did not turn out as cute in real life as I pictured it in my head, though. Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cs. Chocolate Chip and versamark ink. I used hemp twine and distressed all the edges for a more rugged feel. I guess it's ok, but just not what I was shooting for.

TFL!!!!

Nothing new to show yet

We have been super busy the past couple of weeks, so my creative time has been very little. I hope to get some things made this week.

Keep checking back. Thanks!!!!

I gave up waiting

Well, it is still raining here, so I took my pics inside. I hope they are ok enough! I know I'm not the best photographer. It must run in my family because my grandfather was terrible at taking pictures and so is my mom. I can only hope it stops with me and my children will be able to take a decent picture when they need to!!

The first three cards are the ones I made for the mothers in my life. I used Blossoms Abound, which I finally just bought the other day. My colors used were Mellow Moss, Perfect Plum and Pale Plum. I am not crazy about the first or last one, but I do like the middle one. I also used French Script on two of the cards.

This is the name frame I made for my mother in law. I hope she likes it. I used some some MME paper I got the other day. The collection is called Everyday Tango. I used River Rock, WW and Bordering Blue to mat the letters, and they were stamped in Night of Navy. The ribbon was some I got at Michael's awhile back. I really like how it turned out, so I think she will really like it too.

This is the last card I made for my SIL. I used the SAB set Friendship BLooms. The colors were Gable Green, Orchid Opulence, So Saffron and Pixie Pink. I also put some fakie dew drops on, of course! Well, thanks for looking as usual! I am having trouble with blogger today, so I apologize if this post looks funny!

Still alive...

I am still alive if you are wondering, and I have been stamping. However, the weather the past few days has been dreadful, so I have not been able to take pictures of what I have been creating. My outside photos seem to turn out much better than the ones I take inside, so I am waiting to take somewhat decent photos of my creations!

Keep checking back and thank you for visiting!!

Some SIL cards

Here are a few more of the cards I have come up with for my SIL. Here is a She's All That again. Love, love, love this set. I also used the Happy, Happy Birthday wheel. Pixie Pink, Gable Green and Green Galore paper and ink. Some ribbon that I think I got at Michael's ages ago, and some cute little rhinestones to top it off.

Sorry the next couple of pictures are terrible. Not a good day for photographs here. This is a good card for a little boy's birthday I think. I used Unfrogettable. I punched each little character out. I colored them with my markers, and the little dragonfly got some blingy wings with my glitter pen. I threw on some brads at the bottom of the Gable Green layer. There is a versamarked mushroom on the bottom right, but it is kind of hard to see in the picture. The other cs I used was Yoyo Yellow and Tempting Turquoise.

This card was cute in my mind, but didn't deliver in person. I don't know what it needs, but it needs something. Any suggestions?

My SIL needs some thank yous, so I thought this is a good one. She like earthy colors, so what better colors to choose from than Earth Elements. I used Cameo Coral, Not Quite Navy and Old Olive. I colored my image with my chalks, and versamarked the sentiment. Those are some more of my favorite fakie dew drops on the sides.

TFL!

A Little Spring on a Dreary Day

Here are a few pictures of the flowers that have bloomed this week in my backyard. I just absolutely love tulips. They are one of my favorites.

This is our cherry tree which is in full bloom now as well. Cherry blossoms are so dainty and pretty! I will put some pictures of my new lilac bush and hydrangea bush that I bought yesterday this week when I get them planted. I'm so excited. I have wanted one of each of these for years now!! I should also have a few cards to post in the next few days, so check back!
