Here are a few pictures of the flowers that have bloomed this week in my backyard. I just absolutely love tulips. They are one of my favorites.
This is our cherry tree which is in full bloom now as well. Cherry blossoms are so dainty and pretty! I will put some pictures of my new lilac bush and hydrangea bush that I bought yesterday this week when I get them planted. I'm so excited. I have wanted one of each of these for years now!! I should also have a few cards to post in the next few days, so check back!

My sister-in-law asked me to make a bunch of cards for her to have handy, so after I got all of my homework done today I made a couple. This first one is a very simple baby card. I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Whisper White cs for the boy, and for the girl card I used Pale Plum, Blush Blossom, and WW cs. I colored the umbrellas with my markers-same colors as cs. The ribbon was colored with my markers, and I used my glitter pen on the girl umbrellas. That's part of the reason it photographed strange. It is hard to pick up but I stamped giggle from Warm Words on the bottom right corner in versamark, and I wheeled the tops with Sweet Stars in versamark as well. The umbrella image is from Weather or Not.
This next card is an older one that I came up with last fall for a friend's party, but I really like it. Certainly Celery, Cool Caribbean, Pixie Pink and WW cs. Same for ink, plus Chocolate Chip for the sentiment. I wheeled Petals in versamark. The images are from Polka Dots and Petals, and the sentiment is from Wonderful Words.
This last one is my new favorite. It came out even cuter than I had imagined, and that just never happens for me!! I used the set Tart and Tangy, and the Paisley background. WW and Only Orange cs, OO ink and Craft White. I used the tag corner punch, the 1 3/8, and the 1 1/4 punches as well. I popped up the orange on a foam square and put lots of glitter on it! Threw on some white grosgrain and voila! I love this card!!!!
Thank you so much for looking!!

Double posts! What am I thinking?!
I had a couple more cards to show you, but I didn't get a chance on my other post. This first card is one I made for my in-laws to thank them for taking care of the kiddos while my husband and I were in SC. I used Happy Harmony, which was one of my favorites from Sellabration last year. I used Cool Caribbean ink and cs, and Groovy Guava and Taken with Teal cs and marker. Oh, I used a Certainly Celery marker for the stems too. I roughed up the edges for texture, and I did a faux stitch as well.
I totally cased this card from a fabulous one I saw on Splitcoast yesterday. I don't know how to link it, but it was made by MicheleTX. Check it out. The only reason it does not look exactly like hers is because I needed a birthday card, and I don't have pearls. I thought I would put it on here though because sometimes we may see a beautiful card and think we can't make it because we don't have the same stuff, but you can make them work with what you have too!
Thanks for looking!

A few cards for ya
So, I have been a busy stamping girl lately, and that makes me happy. I have all of these great supplies, and very little time to use them. The need has arisen for cards though, so here they are. This first one was for my husband's aunt and uncle's anniversary. I used Never Ending Joy, Mellow Moss, Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White CS. The ink I used was Pretty in Pink, MM, BB, Garden Green and Night of Navy. I threw on some fakie dew drops.
This next card is for my husband's cousin's wedding this weekend. It is one of those cards that looked really great in my mind, but I didn't quite deliver it in real life. I used that great new set from the mini, She's All That, for the bride. On the background, I used Tres Chic. For the cs, I used Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel and WW. Ink was Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip. I also went over her with my glaze pen to pep her up a bit. It's an alight card, I guess.
This is a card I made for a friend of mine at church who just had a miscarriage. I wanted her to know she was in my prayers, so I thought a pretty card was in order. Nothing fancy, I used Heartfelt Thanks, and the cs was Certainly Celery, So Saffron and WW. I used Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Garden Green markers to color the image. I roughed up the edges to give it some texture. Simply, but still pretty I think.
This last one is for my husband's cousin's baby shower this weekend. Yes, he has a very large family. The shower and wedding are both on Saturday. Opposite sides of the family, of course. Again, I used She's All That, and I used my Hot to Dot wheel. Chocolate Chip ink and cs, and Pretty in Pink cs as well. I threw on a couple more of my fakie dew drops. I just love 'em.
Thanks so much for looking. I really do appreciate it, and please feel free to comment on anything you like or don't like. I welcome constructive criticism as well as praise!!

I'm back and here's an older card
We had a good time in SC. The weather didn't cooperate very well, but it was still nice to get away for a while. We ate too much, slept too late, and were basically lazy bones all weekend. It was nice!! The ocean was way too cold to swim in (for me at least), but we did find some pretty shells for the kiddos.
Anyway, here's a card I made last fall for a friend's party. Halloween is one of my favorites, so I always love to make cards for it. I used Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Basic Black and Whisper White for cc and ink and some black grosgrain and black/white checkered ribbon. The set was called Autumn Apparitions, and I just loved it. The fact that it was die cut made it even better!!
Anyway, I'm glad I'm back. I missed my kiddos way too much to be gone for too long!
